Mohamed Raouraoua
Deadline to submit application for the Algerian Football Federation
(FAF) elections expired on Sunday leaving more chances for Mohamed Raouraoua to
be the FAF’s president.
-
The elections will be
held on February 16 while the leader of Biskra’s League Abdelkader Chaabani
withdrew from the race in the last minute.
-
Sources say he was
convinced that he had little chances compared to Raouraoua who is strongly
backed by his supporters.
-
Previously, manager of
Chlef football team Abdelkarim Medouar had urged Chaabani to not apply for the
FAF elections.
-
“The announcement of
Raouaraoua to take part in the race has resolved the electoral process before
its time,” he had said in a radio programme.
