Nadir Belhadj “Best Arab Player 2008”

Algerian international, Portsmouth defender, Nadir Belhadj, was ranked second Arab player for 2008 with 126.755 points, after a poll by Alarabia.net. Nadir Belhadj followed the Saudis international Yasser Kahtane, who won the first place with 165.722 points.

Saudis Mohamed Nour, playing for Ennasr club, was third, Moroccan striker of Bordeaux Marouane Chemack was ranked forth.The 20 days poll noticed 352.962 participations to select Best Arab Player 2008.

Belhadj signs a long term contract for Portsmouth

Algeria international Nadir Belhadj

Nadir Belhadj has signed a four and a half year contract with Pompey.

  • The Blues have paid French side Lens 4.5m euros for the 26-year-old left-sided player. Belhadj has made the switch after a successful loan spell at Fratton Park in which he has scored twice in 23 appearances.
